Dual-type cards debut

Pokémon TCG Pocket’s Dual Fusion expansion is available from October 29, 2026, introducing the app’s first dual-type cards. The official Pokémon TCG Pocket account confirmed the launch in an October 29 post on X, published at 01:10 UTC.

The Pokémon Company’s official announcement highlights Mega Mewtwo X ex as a Psychic- and Fighting-type card, and Mega Greninja ex as a Water- and Dark-type card. New illustrations also feature Pokémon including Pikachu, Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise.

Special Pack: First Partners has a different release schedule: October 31–December 26, 2026. It features first partner Pokémon from the nine regions and uses special pack stamina, which recovers once a week.

Both updates concern the digital Pokémon TCG Pocket game. They do not announce a matching physical expansion or a Simplified Chinese paper-card release.
