A customer buying Pokémon's 30th Celebration might want to open a few packs, own a particular illustration, display a favorite Pokémon, or give someone a complete gift. Those are different purchases—even when the packaging carries the same anniversary logo.
For a wholesale buyer, the useful question is not simply which box contains the most cards. It is which product gives your customers something they actually want to buy, at a price your business can support.
The Simplified Chinese lineup makes that distinction especially important. It includes all-foil booster packs, sets with specified character cards, random Pikachu figures, a Charizard display piece, constructed decks, and a commemorative box with no booster packs listed. Here is how to turn that range into a buying decision.
What Customers Are Buying When They Open a Pack
Pokémon China lists six foil cards in each Simplified Chinese 30th Celebration booster pack. It also confirms that every pack contains one of the 30 Pikachu cards illustrated by 30 different artists. The announced release is September 16, 2026. Official expansion announcement.
That gives a seller a concrete way to explain the opening experience: a customer gets a Pikachu illustration in every pack, but does not choose which one. It is not a promise of a particular Pikachu, a complete collection, or a high resale value.
This distinction also separates two potential customers. Someone who enjoys discovering different illustrations may want unopened packs. Someone completing a particular collection may prefer to buy the missing card directly. More packs are not automatically the better answer to both needs.
Make the language version clear in the listing and on camera. A customer asking for “30th Celebration” has not necessarily asked for Simplified Chinese cards.
The Product Lineup: Ten Variants, Different Reasons to Buy
The table below covers the products in this buying guide, not every anniversary accessory. English names are descriptive; the Chinese names help match a quotation to the correct product. Pack counts are per retail unit, not per shipping carton.

For Pack Sales, Compare What You Will Actually Sell
If your customers mainly buy individual packs or pack-opening sessions, start by comparing the cost of obtaining those packs in the available sealed formats. A gift box can still work as pack inventory if the packs alone justify its total cost. If the numbers only work after adding assumed sales of its cards and accessories, those extra sales need closer examination.
The Coin Set and the Greninja or Sylveon display sets each contain three packs, but they offer different extras. The display sets suit a purchase built around a specified character card. The Coin Set makes more sense when the coins themselves are part of the attraction. Treating those extras as interchangeable misses the reason a customer would choose the bundle.
The distinction also matters with larger products. Both the Charizard gift box and the Espeon–Umbreon display gift box contain 15 packs. For complete-box resale, they are different offers: one is a figure-and-oversized-card display piece; the other is a paired-card collection with display accessories.
If you intend to separate a box into packs and accessories, work out how you will sell the accessories before ordering. They are not recovered purchasing money merely because you have assigned them a listing price. For live openings, explain in advance whether the buyer receives the entire set or only the packs and their contents.
For Character Collectors, Show the Card Before the Pack Count
A customer who wants the featured Greninja or Sylveon card can understand the display set without needing to compare the whole anniversary range. The specified card gives the purchase a clear purpose; the packs add another experience.
For that customer, use a clear image of the actual included card, its language, and the complete retail set. A generic picture of anniversary boosters leaves out the most important part of the offer.
Apply the same care to Espeon and Umbreon. Their Collection Display Gift Box and their separate Deluxe Deck Sets are different products. A deck set should not be listed as a smaller version of the paired-card display box just because the Pokémon names match. Check the included card images and exact Chinese product name.
The decks have another possible audience: customers interested in learning or playing with a constructed Simplified Chinese deck. That is a different proposition from buying the display gift box for its illustrations. Ask which use your customers have in mind before deciding what to stock.
For Figure Buyers, Separate Random Selection from a Known Display Piece

The 12 regular designs shown by Pokémon China. One sealed retail unit contains one random figure—not the full lineup. Official design imagery; final products may differ.
The Pikachu Figure Set is a figure-and-card purchase with one booster pack added. The figure selection is random, and the included card corresponds to the figure. Pokémon China identifies 12 regular designs and one secret design. Official figure-set details.
A sealed unit therefore serves a customer willing to accept a random design. An opened, identified figure-and-card pair serves someone choosing a particular one. These should be separate, accurately described listings—not two descriptions of the same sealed item.
For wholesale quantities, do not interpret published production ratios as a promise about the contents of your carton. A buyer seeking complete sets or specific designs needs an explicit assortment confirmation.
The Charizard product is different: the figure is specified. Its included display card is approximately 13.3 × 18.7 cm, substantially larger than an ordinary card. That is useful for a display-focused buyer, but it should not be presented as a normal-sized Charizard single. Official Charizard gift-box details.
Before committing heavily to either figure product, decide whether your audience buys figures, cards, or both. Attention to a familiar Pokémon is not yet evidence that customers will buy the complete package at your selling price.
The Futuristic Box Is Not a Pack-Opening Product

The 幻彩未来纪念礼盒 centers on two specified Pikachu ex cards and coordinated accessories featuring YOSHIROTTEN's art direction. Its official contents include sleeves, a rubber playmat, a deck box, dice, coins, markers, storage pieces, and a card display frame. No booster packs appear in the official contents list. Official commemorative-box specification.
That makes it a candidate for a customer buying the art, cards, or complete presentation—not a substitute for booster inventory.
Show the two cards and the accessories together when assessing interest. If customers only ask for the cards, evaluate the box against realistic proceeds from those cards after selling costs. The purchase may work even if some accessories remain unsold; it may fail if the calculation depends on accessory sales you cannot achieve. Do not confuse those two situations.
Build the Order Around Evidence from Your Own Customers
You do not need equal quantities of every anniversary product to offer a useful selection.
If customers already buy Simplified Chinese packs from you, pack inventory can anchor the order. If requests focus on a particular included card, prioritize that exact set. If figures or premium accessories are new to your business, a smaller initial commitment lets you learn whether customers want the full product before you tie up more purchasing money.
Judge that test by what customers actually purchase, not only what they like in a photograph. Watch whether they buy sealed sets, ask for individual components, or come back for more packs. Those are different signals for the next order.
Once the intended retail offer is clear, request a quotation using the exact product name, variant, quantity, and destination. Confirm whether the quoted unit is a pack, retail box, inner display, or shipping carton, and ask for the relevant packing quantity. Do not apply one “boxes per case” figure across this lineup.
Then compare your realistic selling proceeds with the purchasing, shipping, applicable import, and selling costs. Current supplier availability and dispatch timing need separate confirmation; the announced September 16 release is not a delivery promise to your business.
The strongest 30th Celebration order is not the one with the most formats or the most impressive boxes. It is the one built around purchases your customers actually want to make, with a realistic route from inventory back to usable purchasing money.
