Choose the November 6 Chinese products for the collector's actual goal: Misty's Psyduck, Unova illustrations, a particular Trainer card or a randomized opening.

Introduction

Date checked: October 22, 2026. Pokémon China has announced Gem Pack Vol. 7, 黑雷奔流 and 白焰迸涌 for November 6, 2026. Check current announcements before making a release-dependent order; the China launch date does not establish an overseas delivery date.

A customer asking for “the new Chinese packs” might want Misty's Psyduck for a binder, a Zekrom opening, or a collection of Unova artwork. Those are different offers for a card shop to stock. Start with the Pokémon, illustration and collecting experience your next customer wants, then choose the product format that supplies that experience.

Poke Wholesale has received customer inquiries about these forthcoming products. That is a reason to explain them, not evidence that every overseas shop needs the same assortment. This guide follows the product-and-customer approach of our 30th Celebration buying guide: identify what makes each item worth choosing before deciding how much to buy.

Three products, one release day, different collecting goals

Use the Chinese names on the quotation and packaging. “Black Bolt / White Flare” below is an English reader reference for 黑雷奔流 / 白焰迸涌; this guide concerns their Simplified Chinese release, not the specifications of Japanese or English products with related themes. “Gem Pack” is our English rendering of Pokémon宝石包.

These are pack contents from Pokémon China's official product listing. Cards are randomly enclosed. A pack specification does not establish boxes per carton, or the contents of a seller-assembled bundle.

Gem Pack Vol. 7: Psyduck, partner Pokémon and foil variations

The official Vol. 7 announcement describes several foil treatments for each featured Pokémon, including type-symbol, Master Ball and Gem Pack logo patterns, plus an art-illustration foil. The lineup also includes Trainers with their partner Pokémon. Its new Misty's Psyduck illustration shows Psyduck reclining on a beach chair, holding a beach ball, with Misty nearby.

That gives a retailer two useful ways to explain the product. A character collector can recognize a particular Psyduck-and-Misty scene. A collector who enjoys variations can compare foil patterns across the Pokémon they like. Simply calling the product a four-card pack misses both reasons for choosing it.

Show representative cards alongside the pack design, then ask what the customer actually wants to take home. If the answer is the beach illustration alone, an identified single is the direct match once an actual copy is available. If the answer is an opening with varied shiny cards, the sealed pack is a different experience. Do not sell the latter as a way to deliver the former with certainty.

There is also a separately sold Psyduck binder with 30 single-card pockets. Its cover makes it relevant to a character-themed display, but the binder is storage, not a bundle promising the pictured illustration card. Describe it separately if you choose to offer it.

Black Bolt and White Flare: a Unova collection across two sets

Pokémon China's October 16 announcement presents the pair around all 156 Unova Pokémon, with an AR or SAR illustration version for every featured Pokémon across the two expansions. Zekrom fronts 黑雷奔流; Reshiram fronts 白焰迸涌. The announcement also shows black Zekrom ex and white Reshiram ex BWR treatments, and new illustrations of N's Plan in the former and Hilda in the latter.

This makes the buying question broader than “which dragon sells better?” A customer building an Unova artwork collection has a reason to look across both expansions. A character collector may care about one Pokémon or Trainer. Locate that target in the correct set before recommending a product; buying the other half of the pair cannot solve an incorrectly identified target.

The illustrated evolutionary lines are useful to show together. The announcement displays Snivy through Serperior, Tepig through Emboar, and Oshawott through Samurott. For a buyer drawn to a favourite starter, connected character illustrations can explain the appeal more clearly than a rarity abbreviation. Let customers tell you which line matters to them.

N and Hilda offer a different point of interest from the dragon cards. In the discussion beneath PokéBeach's report, one participant specifically linked the new N artwork to their N binder. That is an individual collecting goal a shop can respond to with the correct version of a card; it does not establish demand for every sealed format.

Use current buyer interest to choose an offer

In a discussion of this November release, early replies singled out the Trainer artwork and hoped to fill missing illustration-card slots at a lower cost. Another new-card discussion included enthusiasm for N. These are small, individual reactions. A comment about a hoped-for price does not prove the eventual price, or a shop's likely sales.

The useful response is to separate character-specific requests from interest in a wider opening. A shop receiving requests for one exact illustration should investigate that single-card offer as well as sealed stock. A shop whose customers want to explore the Unova lineup can consider both expansions. For Gem Pack Vol. 7, show the foil variations rather than assuming every interested customer is chasing the same Psyduck card.

Preference is not unanimous. In the Vol. 7 discussion on PokéBeach, some participants liked the new scene, while another preferred the existing English Psyduck artwork and others expressed fatigue with costly exclusive cards. Show the actual design and confirm the customer's choice before treating interest in the character as an order for this printing.

Keep a note of the actual version requested: language, set, artwork and finish. Two customers naming N or Psyduck may be referring to different cards. Confirm with the image, not just the character name. Then use your own requests and subsequent sales to decide what to replenish; the public discussions cannot supply that decision for your shop.

Five cards, 20 cards, or a coin set?

The five-card and 20-card Chinese packs create different individual openings. Their verified foil counts are in the table above. State the format explicitly on a shelf, livestream or online listing so a buyer does not mistake one for the other.

Seven foils in a 20-card pack does not mean seven rare illustration cards. Four foils in Gem Pack Vol. 7 does not mean four beach-scene Psyduck cards. Foil finish, artwork and rarity answer different questions. Do not build a retail promise around a particular hit in a box or carton: manufacturing proportions do not make that outcome certain in an individual purchase.

A further option is the matching Chinese coin set. Each contains three five-card packs of its named expansion, one randomly selected foil from that expansion and a Pokémon coin corresponding to the selected foil. The coin gives a customer another collectible object alongside the opening. It is not a fixed Zekrom or Reshiram single-card bundle: the additional foil is random too.

Choose that format when customers want the combined card-and-coin item. Choose ordinary packs when the opening itself is the offer. Do not rank the two simply by total card count while ignoring the extra object the buyer is choosing.

Turn the product choice into a precise purchase

Before requesting a quote, write down the product's Chinese name, language, volume or expansion, and individual pack format. Then state whether you need packs, sealed retail boxes or original cartons. A seller-assembled bundle and a factory carton are different offers; verify the actual packing and seal status instead of assuming a generic case count.

For these upcoming products, separate the announced launch from the seller's confirmed dispatch terms. Confirm the actual offer's quantity, availability and delivery arrangements. None is established by an announcement image, and an overseas shop should not turn November 6 into its own promised customer delivery date without supporting arrangements.

The useful assortment is one you can explain to your next customer: Psyduck and foil-pattern collecting, Unova illustration collecting, a particular Trainer single, or an opening with a coin. Buy for that identifiable offer. Interest in a new release starts the buying conversation; the specific product and customer determine what belongs in the order.
