Introduction

Checked October 29, 2026. Gem Pack Vol. 7 is scheduled to launch in mainland China on November 6, 2026. The cards discussed here are announced designs; actual single-card availability must be confirmed after release.

A request for “Gem Pack 7 Psyduck” is not yet a precise order. The same Pokémon appears in several foil versions, and the new beach illustration is a separate card from the familiar illustration with different surface patterns. For a shop buying singles to resell, that distinction determines which card belongs in the order.

Identify the card by language, set code, full card number and artwork together. The new beach-scene Misty's Psyduck is CBB7C · 03 07/07. A listing that says only “Psyduck holo” leaves out the information a collector needs to choose the right version.

The seven Psyduck versions do different jobs in a collection

Pokémon China's Vol. 7 announcement shows six foil treatments of Misty's Psyduck's regular illustration, plus the new art illustration. The treatments include type-symbol, Master Ball and Gem Pack logo designs.

The pictured Psyduck entries in Simplified Collector's card list provide a useful number-by-number reference:

Card numberWhat to matchWhat a shop should distinguish
03 01/07Water-type patternThe type-symbol version
03 02/07Poké Ball patternA different finish from Master Ball
03 03/07Faceted or shattered-glass-style finishThe specific pictured surface treatment
03 04/07Rotary or windmill-style finishAnother separate pattern version
03 05/07Master Ball patternThe pattern with the Master Ball marking
03 06/07Gem Pack logoThe regular illustration with the visible logo
03 07/07New beach illustrationPsyduck reclining with a beach ball and Misty nearby

Pattern names such as “shattered glass” and “windmill” are descriptive English labels. Keep the printed number in the listing so a difference in terminology does not become a different product.

For this Psyduck sequence, 03 identifies the Pokémon's place in the set; 01/07 through 07/07 distinguish its versions. Copy the whole number. “07/07” by itself does not identify Psyduck.

Why a foil name alone can lead to the wrong purchase

The confusion is visible in collector discussions. One Gem Pack collector trying to catalogue their cards asked what the pink stamps meant. In another discussion about foil symbols, the questioner had mistaken a ball pattern for a Master Ball pattern.

Those posts concern earlier cards. They show an identification problem, not measured demand for Vol. 7. For a retailer, the practical response is to make the difference visible before asking a customer to choose.

Use a clear front photograph to show the card number and artwork, then an angled photograph that makes the foil pattern visible. Keep condition separate: two copies of the same numbered version can still have different scratches, edge wear or surface marks. An announcement image identifies a design; it cannot describe the copy being sold.

Ask which gap the customer is trying to fill

A customer who wants the beach scene needs 03 07/07. Substituting a lower-priced foil version would change the artwork they were buying. Confirm that illustration before sourcing a copy or quoting a price.

A customer building a Psyduck page may want several finishes together. Show all seven reference entries, including versions you do not currently stock, and let the customer mark the ones they already own. That turns a vague request for “more Psyduck” into an exact missing-card list. If you offer a partial bundle, list every included number.

A collector assembling a wider Gem Pack collection needs a checklist for that broader goal. Seven Psyduck cards complete this character's version run; they do not complete Vol. 7. Our guide to stocking set-completion singles explains how a visible card catalogue can help customers identify their missing cards.

Do not assume every interested buyer wants all the finishes. In a discussion of collecting goals, one participant was working on Gem Pack Vol. 2, while another preferred choosing individual cards they liked rather than completing sets. A shop can accommodate both through clear individual listings and explicitly described bundles.

Turn the request into stock you can actually sell

Build the purchase list from the confirmed versions. If your customers ask for the beach illustration, an unsorted lot described only as “Gem Pack 7 Psyduck foils” does not establish that it contains the card you need. Request an itemised breakdown or photographs before evaluating that offer.

Once copies are available, a useful listing title is:

Misty's Psyduck — Gem Pack Vol. 7 — CBB7C 03 07/07 — Simplified Chinese

Add the actual copy's condition and photographs. For the logo version, change the number to 03 06/07, identify the logo finish, and use matching images. If you offer a selectable group of versions, make the selected option's number, image and price agree.

Compare prices only after matching language, set, number and condition. A sold beach-illustration card does not establish the value of the other six finishes. Similarly, one successful sale of a particular version is evidence about that offer, not proof that every Psyduck variant deserves the same stock quantity.

Keep sales and remaining stock by version. If one finish sells while another sits, replenish the one with demonstrated buyers and reconsider the slower offer's quantity, description or price. A character-level total would hide that difference.

Keep the sealed pack promise separate

Pokémon China specifies four foil cards per pack, with random contents. That describes the sealed product; it does not promise four different Psyduck versions or the beach illustration.

A customer seeking an exact missing card needs an identified single. A customer choosing a randomized opening is buying a different experience. For the broader product comparison, see our Gem Pack 7 and Chinese Black Bolt / White Flare buying guide.

Before buying for resale, finish this sentence: “My customer wants this language, this set, this number and this finish.” That gives you a purchase specification you can check, a listing you can explain, and a clear record of what to replenish after it sells.
